About Excel Homes - Modular Home Factory
Excel Homes is located in the center of the modular home manufacturers in Pennsylvania. The factory is on Route 15 North of Harrisburg and supplies homes to: CT, DE, GA, KY, MA, MD, MI, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, SC, VA, VT and WV. Their location allows for easy access to the southern markets of North Carolina and South Carolina and to the north of Massachusetts and Maine.
Excel Homes Sales Leadership and Management
The management team for the sales department at Excel Homes is headed by David Reed. Dave Reed was the acting Vice President of the now closed and defunct Penn Lyon Homes located in Selinsgrove PA. In addition to Dave Reed, additional Penn Lyon personel moved to Excel Homes when Penn Lyon Homes closed their doors in 2011. Excel Homes CEO as of May 2010, Steve Scheinkman specialties include:
Excel Homes Ownership and History
H.I.G. Capital purchased Excel Homes from Huron Capital Partners in 2010 and also owns Moducraft, All American Homes and KanBuild of Kansas. Excel homes has been in building modular homes since 1984. There original factory was located in Mifflntown, PA where ProBuilt Homes is currently located. Excel is known for their customization and collection of homes designed by Design Basics. Design Basics created a line of non-boxy modular homes to attract a larger market share of the home building industry. These floor plans and designs include ranch modular homes, Cape Cod modular homes and two story modular homes. Excel has the capacity to build multi family modular projects and commercial projects by using their secondary plant in Avis, PA. Excel Homes has owned the Avis America facility since 2001.
Excel has a modular home model on display to help select the options for your new modular home. To purchase an excel home you must work with one of their approved builders. Excel Homes is a major supplier for G and I Homes and Serenity Homes in Upstate New York. G and I is a progressive street dealer who uses spray foam insulation on all of their Excel modular homes with steep pitched roofs with either storage attics of living spaces.
