Two Story Modular Home Floor Plans
Two story homes have become more popular as homes have become bigger and bigger and some building lots have become smaller. If you are building on a narrow infill lot, a two story home makes a lot of sense. You will be able to have more living space, a full basement for storage and a building site allowing you have a yard of sorts. Two story homes stack modules on top of each other to create the second floor. The minimum number of boxes for a two story modular home is two. Two single wide boxes or modules stacked on each other. The majority of two story modular homes are constructed out of four modules. One of Bill Garnett recently designs had over thirty modules.
Modular Home Tip: When designing a modular home, the squarest home is the going to be the least expensive home to build. If your two story modular home has reverse gables, they will look nice, but they will give you no additional appraisal value. Appraisal value is primarily based on square footage.
