Ranches: Modular ranch homes delivered in PA can include: raised ranches, T-Ranches, L-Ranches, standard two module ranch and split level homes. Some of the modular home companies can build “modular log homes” from standard floor plans or as a custom designed modular home floor plan.
T-Ranches - Modular T-ranch homes in PA offer more curb appeal than the standard two module ranches such as the standard ranch or raised ranch design. T-Ranches are delivered as either three or four modules so the cost of these homes cost more per square foot. T-ranch homes offer the opportunity to install an attractive two car front load garage with attractive roof lines. Raised Ranches and Standard Ranches - The most common modular home design in Pennsylvania is the standard two box ranch built on top of a full foundation. Modular ranches grew out of the mobile home industry as double wide units. Ranch home design come in two common floor plans. One is where all of the bedrooms are clustered to the on side of the home and the living space is on the opposite side of the home. The second design puts the living space and kitchen in the middle of the floor plan which splits the bedrooms between secondary bedrooms and the master bedroom. Building a ranch home where the bedrooms are split make it difficult to build a modular home with a garage on either end of the home. Two Story Homes - Two story modular homes in Pennsylvania are very popular when the cost of the building lot is higher or the building lot is small. This is because there is half the foundation and roof costs associated with building a two story home compared to a rancher. The price for a large new modular ranch home is often less than a two story home of the same size. Two story modular designs include colonials, farm houses, modern american suburban chic and etc. Most two story home designs locate bedrooms on the second floor.
